Battlefield 2142 on MAC

I have been playing Battlefield 2142 on vista. However, I recently switched to a mac and saw on the apple website that Battlefield 2142 is also available for mac. Now I want to start playing the game on my mac but I do not want to buy another copy of the game.

I am hoping I can install the game (since I already have a BF2142 account).
I know that on windows, you can only play when you have the cd inside your optical drive. Is it the same for mac?Is there any way around this?

I think you'll have to buy the mac copy of the game unless you dual boot your mac with windows.
