BattleField 2142 Problem

HI,
I Just UpDated BF2142 To Version 1.40,But Now,It Wont Let Go InTo Battle,Soon Its Finish Loading,Then Click Join In,Then Couple Seconds,Its Take Me Back To The Menu.

I Just Keep This Messages,Saying:This Server Only Allows Players With UnModified Content To join.Revert Your Version Of BF2142 To Current Version To Join.

I Haven't Mod AnyThing All,Try InStalling It,Still does The Same And Going Back To The 1.25 Version.

Its Not The Beta.This Is The New 1.40 The Finish Version Not Beta,Even If I Go Back To 1.25,Then Only Ten Or More Or Less Server,While EveryOne Move To Version 1.40

Any Idea?

Antineo69, if i recall thats a common problem after installing Northern Strike and you need to re-apply patch 1.25 then the full 1.40 but its been a while since i played

A lot of people are having problems with the 1.4 patch.

The only definite fix is to reinstall the game again, and apply the full 1.4 patch to this new fresh install.

This should remove your problem.

This is exactly what happened for me when patch 1.25 was released, hope 1.40 doesn't do the same

Really annoying re-downloading BF2142 just over a patch...

I used to repeatedly get this problem. You need to do a manual uninstall via the EA website (This involves going into the registry/temp folders etc). And then starting an install from scratch. Moving to Vista x64 solved all the problems with this game. Its incredibly buggy and has waay too many flaws. Ive had every error under the sun with this game.

Hmmm, ive played 2142 for months, top rank blah blah, been in 3 or 4 clans, 1 i was the leader of, this problem could be one of these.

Corrupt game file
HACKS!
If you have first strike installed.
if you have Daemon tools installed (any simulation software)
if you have any form of Hack on your pc, could be ANY game or ANY hack, or cheat.
Update your punkbuster for the game, or using PBSVC.exe to reinstall your punkbuster both take only 30 seconds

if none of them works, just resintall your game, always fixes the problem.
