battlefield 2142 Resolution problems !!

for some reason i can only set the resolution to 1280x 980 or somthin like that, i cant seem to go above that, does anyone know why this is I've just bought the samsung 2032 with a max Resolution of 1680x1050 ( its going back because of a dead pixel )

None of the Battlefield games support widescreen although you can force it by modifying the shortcut to the game. Try a google search.

Add...

+szx 1680 +szy 1050

to the end of the target line on the short cut, should work. No idea if you have to, or can, mess with the FOV though?
