I feel the same. The vehicles seemed very balanced and the titan game mode, while not perfect really added a new dimention to the gameplay.

I'm looking forward to playing this again.

Interesting, what changes have they made to BF2142 since Patch 1.50 (i.e. the way it was left many years ago by EA/DICE?)

I still wonder how this, BF2 and PR mod work in terms of licensing with EA? They just turn a blind eye or there's enough changes in the source for these to work as standalone games?

I would imagine they don't really care. It's a 10 year old game eek that they dropped support for years ago. If the new Battlefield was a reboot of 2142 or set in a similar era, then they may have something to say about it.

The games are dead and unsupported by ea so have become freeware of some sort?

Yeah I think EA just don't care or it hasn't come to their attention. You can bet if it got more popular than Battlefield 1 they would shut it down in an instant.
