Hi all, anyone given this mod a try: www.fsmod.com? Having just stumbled upon it, it looks really really good. I don't have 2142, but I'm really thinking about picking it up on somewhere on the cheap just to play this! Anyone know if it's quite active or if in fact it's any good!? :)

Last time I looked at this it was still heavily in Beta, if its actually in a release state I might take a look. Part of the problem its had might be completely that, most people have forgotten about it since last seeing it still very much in beta, as I haven't seen it mentioned since.

Hopefully that's it. From some of the videos on Youtube it's looking very good indeed. It will be interesting to see how the space combat is.
 
It's a really, really good mod with a hell of a lot of effort put into it, but last time I was on there were about five servers up and maybe twenty people playing.

Space battles make me long for X-Wing Vs. Tie-Fighter, that was a stormer of a game.

Aye, I loved that game back in it's hey-day, it was my first competitive online game and it's what got me into the whole scene. I held #1 on Case's Ladder for XvT and XWA for ~6 months or so :)
 
This looks pretty amazing, may need to brush the dust off my 2142 copy and play this. Really into civ3 at the moment so will have to wait!
