Battlefield 2142 Update 1.50 FINAL Released

1920 x1080 widescreen... but what i dont get is how stuff seems thinner (character models etc) and i aint seeing more of the screen. Whereas non-widescreen version they would be chunky. Wouldnt it stand to reason that on the widescreen version the models would be chunky rather than thin? (ie stretched?) if they're thin then it means screen has been squashed or smt.

i think it appears to be "squashed" because you've been used to forcing it to be widescreen so therefore stretching it making it chunky because it didnt have the correct aspect ratios. so now because they have brought out proper widescreen resolutions they are running at the correct ratios so u should be able to see more of the screen and all the objects are shown at their proper size (ie. not chunky).

Is your screen 1080 or 1200, does it give you black bars or stretch it slightly upwards to make it fit 1200 res?
 
Just picked up a copy of BF2142 , does this 1.5 patch include all previous patches , or do i need to install others before ?

my native res is 1920 x 1200 (xps1710) i think :D

only res near that from the widescreen options is

1920 x 1080

i think you're onto something there.

its maybe stretching upwards then. How come they dont have 1920x1200 resolution as an option?

edit: okay my bad :o they do have a 1920x1200 option. My guys are no longer anorexic thin. fixed cheers dude.

2 patch versions. One is patch update only and one is full patch. Select full patch to include all previous versions. (assume size will be around 300mb ish? because im sure the update patch was about 120 - 180mb)
