I built my 1st gaming PC 5 days ago,been playing BF3,Day Z etc etc.
Downloaded a program called CPUID which shows me all temperatures of my components. My GPU (VTX3D Radeon HD 2gb 7870 Black Edition) was running around 85C when i played BF3 and fan was set to 25% and ran like this for 3 days.
Yesterday (Day 4) it hit 98C,it was 32C outside all day so could that of caused a change in temp (my room gets pretty hot),i turned BF3 off immediately and turned fan in Catalyst Control Centre to 70% and even then it was high 80s,today i opened case and ran bf3 with case open and fan on 70% it was around 71-74C,put side panel back on and it was hitting 79-83C,carried on playing and checked it again about 15 mins later and it was 96 and it probably would have kept increasing if i didnt turn it off.
Day Z seems to run around 80-85C with a 65-70% fan speed.
Anyone have any tips for me,im worried my GPU is gonna blow up on me and i only just built this for £800 and cant replace any parts as im now skint.
