On the day the Call of Duty: Elite beta goes live the first images of EA's Battlefield 3 Battlelog have surfaced on the internet. Fancy that.

Images appeared on EA's German Battlefield page, but were quickly removed – not before Battlefieldo grabbed a few screenshots and popped them live. Check them out below.

Battlelog is inspired by Autolog, the stat-tracking and socially proficient feature that debuted in Criterion's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit last year.

It has built-in chat, Facebook style social networking features and a nice clean interface.

Battlelog is also EA's answer to Call of Duty: Elite, but unlike Elite it does not include an optional premium subscription.

I like how this is all free but some features of COD:Elite you have to pay for.
Either EA have loads more cash than Activision or Activision are greedy.....

Yes but COD Elite paid for features are yet to be announced, the list of FREE COD Elite features is quite good IMHO.

Q) Can you upload game clips from BF3 to YT?

And EA are a bunch of perfect saints who can do no wrong.

Let's just ignore the weapon DLC which will come with BF3, dont let that stand in the way of your rant. ;)

The only feature announced with COD Elite and the paid for service is that you get all DLC included with your subscription, there may also be tournaments for you to enter to win cash prizes, other paid for features have yet to be announced.

Well no, but Activision are a lot worse. At least I can actually play a Battlefield game without being disconnected all the time, waiting ages to find a game and not having it ruined by hackers (MW2 I am looking at you). It appears that as soon as they have your money for the game (and more and more), it's goodbye to listening to any problems you have with it.

Yea man, so said.

Shush! :p

Get a better internet connection.

:p

I don't understand your comment so much about getting your money and running. Activision/Treyarch have been very good with support for Black Ops (I think they have gone too far since launch with some changes), yes I see your point a little with the state of hacking/exploits in MW2, but there were other issues going on at IW at the time which is probably why it was the state it was for a long period of time, and they did eventally sort out most of the problems with the game.

Did you play Black Ops on PS3 or 360? It was awful on the PS3 for a long time, and not just for a few people. I remember lots were complaining about it, only for Treyarch to lay the blame on people's connections rather than themselves. I sold it shortly after that so I wouldn't know if they finally corrected it or not. :o

I played Black Ops from release day on the 360.

The only connection issues I had was when Virgin messed around with P2P traffic.

I know the PS3 was/is an abortion.
