Battlefield 3 Game manager logging in

So, i brought Battlefield 3 today, installed origin (WHY EA?) after around 6 hours of trying to get that to work i launched up Battlefield 3, but whenever i try to join a server or even launch campaign the game manager pops up in the corner then gets stuck on "logging in". Anyone know how to fix it? Really wanting to play this game.

on the windows bar at the bottom do you get a battlefield icon ? click on that sometimes the game launchs but doesn't put it on the screen just keeps it minimised

I get the bar at the bottom but when i click on it it is just a white screen, the only thing i can do with it is close it with task manager
