Battlefield 3, Loading 1 map on to ramdisk ?

I was watching an Asus video on the tube recently and the main presenter, JJ, Said its possible to load a single map on to a ramdisk as the main game now is just too large.

I have the software but I'm not sure how to do this, Anyone here done this ?

Any info would be appreciated

I would assume you symlink the map's file onto the RAM disk. There should be plenty of guides round for symlinking.

Ram is faster than an SSD is it not ?

RAM is the fastest thing ignoring GPU vram. If you make use of the new 64GB RAM disk you in for a really treat

Thing is you need more RAM then 64GB.

The mklink command in a command prompt will do everything you need - if you follow the guides for moving steam files/folders it should give you an idea how to use it then you just need to work out where the map file is on the HDD and keep a seperate copy of it to copy to the RAM drive.

It may only make the map load a tiny bit faster, most of the waiting is talk with the server I do believe.
