battlefield 3 multiplayer improving myself

Hi everyone I have been playing fps for about 10 years now from css to battlefield 3.
I would love to know how to be a better player. If there is a clan in the U.K that are great fun to be with after work. if there is any chance for a one on one lesson to be a better player.

Practice sometimes.

Though, I find I often play better after not having played for a while

I do wonder how people seem to be able to spend so much time gaming though; do they not have school/jobs/other commitments?
 
I think the first step would be to identify what skills you're lacking if you haven't already, then you can look at how to improve those areas.
 
To get better at shooting games I always have a quick blast on something fast paced like Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament before I play the actual game, it always helps improve the speed and accuracy at which I can aim.
