Battlefield 3 -problem after problem

Oh well I'm just looking at it from a development point of view. If they are on multi platforms they will always port mass parts of the game but essentially tech wise its a different game.

I think they only way the 'it's a crappy console waaah' crowd are going to be happy is if it doesn't come out on a console at all.

Maybe next time they will make a special glittery UI specially for PC. I'm for one happy with the difference in the two versions.

Plays fine on my rig in sig, never had any problems running the game with SLI.

At work so cant watch video, what driver are you running? Have you got the Crossfire profiles installed off ATI website?
Do you get the same problem when you run a single card?
Have you got MSI Afterburner installed to monitor gfx card usage, temps, etc.

I'm using 12.3 with the profiles and it works fine with a single card :/

yeah I have and they both have equal usage which is weird seeing as it runs worse with crossfire on so

any ideas what this could be? its definitely a crossfire driver issue as the cards with crossfire enabled works fine with bf2bc and crysis. just dont know what to do, ea support are awful.

What resolution are you playing at?

What are your in-game settings, High, Ultra etc? Do you change these when you go from single gpu to crossfire?

I run it on the following and it works great on 1 screen, once you go eyefinity its all on low but even then it plays really well, single screen 1920*1080 on ultra with aa on 2, motion blur off (hate that stuff), would say the FPS is 90+ most of the time, no stutter at all, have not really played since the last patch so no recent tests. but i would normally see 99% GPU use on both cards

i5 750 @ 3.8
8GB ram
Intel 520 120 SSD (for the loading) :)
2 x 6970's

12.3RC driver i think, with the caps before the newest, at work so hard to say for sure on that.

the only thing i would ask have you just gone crossfire and this is the result?

If so when i first went crossfire, i.e just banged in the other card, it was a mess, i had to freash install the computer then it worked great, in fact i never have a major issue with crossfire, the only thing i wait on is CAP support, but even without a CAP my games still run well, never turn Crossfire off in fact.

Nice one

hmm think I might have to format the hard drive? some say this fixes it :/ crossfire works with everything except this game, i've had crossfire for a while

Lets face it, 99% of PC games are console ports these days :(

I never bother with SLI / crossfire myself, only ever seems to cause issues.

Always get the fastest single card you can afford.

I have always done that, I think that because your paying twice as much to get 2 cards it would be better just to buy 1 card thats twice as powerful for the same or less money

i think you will always find the people that hate it, people that like it. It just works for me so its all good in my eyes. have worse luck getting true eyefinity support (how hard can it be to keep a HUD centred)

However, on the point above I'm not sure how long you would have to wait to get a single card more powerful than two 680 or 7970's? but at a guess i would think a fair amount of people buy a second card once they go cheap. gives them extra bang without loads of buck.

I got 2 6850's for £170 so I cant really complain just wish this problem would stop
