Guys need help! Just installed a new SSD (full re-install of the OS) and thought I could just install Origin and it would find my backed up BF3 folder and all systems go............not! It now want's me to download the game

Is there any way I can get this work without having to download the game plus all the DLC again? I know there could be an answer in this thread somewhere, but it's over 2,154 pages long.

If you have the bf3 files backed up including the latest patches/dlc etc. Start the download in origin, let it run for a few minutes then pause it. Go to your backup, copy the files from there into the newly created origin games file on your c drive. The game should install from there once you restart the download in origin. Once installed, right click the b3 icon in origin and run repair install. This will make sure the game is fully upto date.

Seems to be common on ati cards Westie, thankfully no such problems here with an nv gtx 670. Constant 98% use in game. Are you on a single card or xfire?

I suspect youve tried different driver revisions mate. Maybe something that needs to be adressed in a future driver update/profile. Sorry, im not very familiair with ati cards/drivers.

Have you got UPnP disabled in router settings? it can help a lot with disconnecting issues.

The shame! I got killed by the cross bow today. I spawned obviously just as an enemy was about to shoot the guy I spawned on. I didn't even see it coming!

Have only been playing the PC version properley for a week now as used to play it on the Xbox with a mate who has now finally built a gaming PC.

With regards to the frame drops people are experiencing, does it apply to the old maps as well as last night I noticed that a few parts of Caspian and another map I forget the framerate dropped down into the 30-40 range a few times which it hadn't done before.

Running an 3570k, 8GB and 7850 @ 1200/1300 on ultra minus AA and never saw it drop below 55 in the last week until last night.

Also can anyone recommend a wireless mono headset to use with this? At the moment just using the 360 controller with headset attached to my PC but ideally would like to get a fully wireless solution as my controller has to sit next to me at the moment. I have no need for a full headset as the game sounds come out of my 5.1 setup. Apparently the wireless 360 one is terrible so thats out.

Cheers.

think i might purchase this "expanison pack". look rather good.

frustrating though as to why maps of this quality were not included in base BF3.

all a con IMO.
