Battlefield 4 Frame Time Analyzer


Great find. Will have a play about with this in a few days. Just reading through the thread on oc.net and someone who owns a Titan and a 290X posted their findings.

It really is such a pity that BF4 didn't have a built in benchmark
Considering they went to the effort (OK, it might have been easy, but still) to give a command that records this data, you'd think they'd realise that people will want to analyse the results and that a built in benchmark would be very useful in doing that.
Come on Matt, get in contact and put your foot down! Tell Johan you'll unfollow him! (We know you won't but he doesn't know that).

Looks like a nice tool though. (Yeah yeah Matt, we know, "That's what she said!" :))

It's disappointing that Johan just ruled it out like that. I could understand it not being a priority with the game in the state that it's in, but to rule it out...

He probably has a bug list sat as long as time its self still waiting to be fixed before he can even think about something as simple as a bench run (heck even a frostbite 3 demo bench would be better!).

Speaking of which....I've lost complete control over my mouse movement axis as infantry for the 4th time since launch. Cheers DICE!!!!!

Managed to blind run to a boat on resort and have a little cruise about with the logging enabled...still trying to decipher what I'm actually looking at though.

Pro tip: When first enabling 'PerfOverlay.FrameFileLogEnable 1' in the console and require to disable it at the end of the round/rage quit, open console and press the down key, this cycles previous console inputs, then simply delete '1' and enter '0' and your done :)

Edit: Wanna get this moved over into the BF4 thread, we can all work together and see if we can get some sense from this thing and use it for some more visable bench results besides a static M/M/A fraps read out we're currently using :)
