Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

As suspected I suck. Quick question regarding etiquette if there is any. I was playing team DM as an engineer on some underground level, I used my anti tank launcher a lot as I can't hit anyone with a gun and it was quite confined. Nobody said anything but is this classed in the same case as snipers camping on the objective based modes?

It's an online game. Don't worry about pleasing other players. If someone starts saying you're a 'rocket n00b' (or similar), then use it even more. It must mean it's worked enough to **** someone off :D

No money at the moment guys, so its a matter of somehow making it fit lol. I have 4 drives but just the 1 ssd. The only game I have on the ssd is BF4. I will take a look at DiskSpaceFan4 now and see what I can find.

Ok well, am i right in thinking i can install all the Nvidia drivers onto another drive?, had no clue they took up almost 5gb.

Ok, just played a conquest on a map called Paracel Storm, that was great fun. Had a go with the plane with the camera, couldn't work out how to fire 120mm cannon though, could only fire the missiles.

I get instances where the audio locks up and the screen freezes, making me force quit the game.

The audio loop crash and the 'Battlefield 4 has stopped working' (or whatever it says) crash to desktop are my two most common ones.

Sometimes I can go 3-4 hours with no crashing. Then it happens every 5-10 mins.

Also, someone said to check RAM usage and then when it gets high, close Origin/BF4 etc and restart. By the time I've done that, I could have just let the game crash and clicked play again. It takes a painful amount of time to load each level and the black screen when spawning is just awful.

I really like this game, but god damn EA suck. How they managed to make the final release worse than the beta is beyond me.

Spot on.

I have two drives, SSD and a 1TB HDD. Non essential games (that i don't play often) and software get put on the HDD, the SSD is for my OS and the essential games that i play.

Same here. 500GB Samsung Evo and 2TB WD Cav Black. All games and main programs on SSD. Films/TV/Game installers/Chrome temp folder/Windows temp folder and everything else on HDD!

It also helps when you lost stuff to have all your Apps on a second folder including your mobo drivers. Quick install ;)

Ok in nvidia i have 16 sets of drivers lol. Ok ill delete them all except the new one and see where that leaves me. haha

Delete them all mate. They are just the installers. Or better yet, as you said, just delete all but the latest if you are worried

Yup surprised me, very atmospheric! :)

Quick game of Crysis, anyone? ;)

How is BF4 on your system Gerard?

Running surprisingly well with the 7990 in it now, can put ultra settings on, aa and hbao off (post aa on) and a lot of the maps im averaging 65fps+. Only really get any dips if its a large explosion in close range. That's at 5760x1080.

Finally after thousands of attempts, the emblem has applied/saved!

Will make a batman logo in a month or so.

edit;

going to remove the black square for that.

Arrrrrrrrgh I thought you had the 6990s still. You should update your sig bro. No more messing with renderdevice.forcerenderaheadlimit 1 then? ;)

On a plus, despite my lack of skills, I have not had any crashes or in game issues :) I'm having fun too which is all that counts. I also insist on playing engineer on levels that clearly favour assault.
