Battlefield 4 Thread

Hopefully they will take more of an advantage of the Frostbite 2.0 engine, and have proper destruction like BFBC2 again, the odd falling building and wall debris was pretty rubish, and it wasnt consistant, one wall could be destroyed the next meter along it was indestructible .
 
128 for PC is a tad extreme :p

I think 64 is pretty solid player count for a server. I can't think of any maps where maybe more would be better but that's just me.

Joint Ops on PC could handle up to 150 players. Granted, that was on the larger maps with some travelling required, but it was awesome and not at all chaotic.

I think someone tried to make a 128p server for bf3 and although it worked, it was laggy as hell due to to much info needed.

Imagine Metro with 128 people :eek: would be insane.
 
Looking forward to this too, picked up older BF games and they are frustratingly enjoyable but no one I know plays them on console so looking at getting this one day 1 :)

Fingers crossed for 64p, next gen consoles should be able to handle it as PC's have been able to for a while now. If they increased PC to 128p though could get hilariously crowded at times.

Edit: 128p on Metro would be far too crowded but on a map like Caspian Border I think it would work.

I'd love to play BF3 with a group of our regulars but there is only Frodders on my FL that plays it.

Bad Company and BC2? The only people really left on them have been there for years, though in the case of Bad Company, it's more likely people are going for the 10,002 kills trophy/achievement.

BC is more a spin-off though, you should try the main series :) BF2 was the best imo but 2142's titan mode was fun as well. Would be hard to truly enjoy them though without friends.

I think even 128 players on Caspian would be a bit too much. I think possible Alborz Mountain (or whatever it is called) could work with 128 and also Bandar Desert?

Either way I will be getting this for PC and PS4 most definitely.
 
Older BF's was bad choice of words, just picked them up about a year / year and half after they came out and people have moved on. Take BF3, bought it last November but rarely do I find anyone on xbox playing it.

I named Caspian border as could remember its name over others lol but still find periods of time not seeing anyone. Though I know it is console so still lower than 64p but still think 128p would be ok.
