Battlefield 4 Upgrade Old Machine Advice!

My advice is ebay your bits and build a new one, can you salvage any parts,list them and the pros will configure a PC for you for BF4

There is not much point investing in old tech now, for example buying more ddr2 memory etc - but loads of people who have q6600 rigs will snap up your bits.

Cool thanks, I think I'm going the new pc route now. I don't mind trying to build a machine but I'm worried about overclocking and cocking it up heh.
 
There is loads of overclocking info online, especially for q6600 and there is tons of helpful folk on here - but I think q6600 is a few generations behind, you will have the benefit of SSD lower wattage cpus and uber performance even with a newer budget or mid-range PC.

Aim for bang for your buck and recycle any parts you can - you're going to need a good gfx card for BF4, 8gb ram, W8, any modern cpu will be fine. Don't skimp on the PSU quality. Post what your looking for in general harware and the Pros will point you in the right direction.
