Battlefield 5 appcrash after intro - 2080 ti Aorus

Hello. Today i get appcrash just before mission start ( 3d ),when i click PRESS SPACE to skip scene movie part.

Event viewer said:"display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

This is exception code of crash:"0x887a0006 "



Also in background have only gpuz and msi afterburner + rivatuner.



My pc:
9900K 5ghz 1.33v

2x16GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000mhz XMP
Corsair 850 RmX

Rtx 2080 Ti Aorus Xtreme ( stock ,no oc )



I am using the newest drivers.

Also i tested Unigine Heaven ,3dmark firestrike and other games for hours and no crashes. Even Battlefield 5 running stable,just that one crash after movie part intro scene. Is my card unstable or?

Things to know:

It doesn’t like Rivatuner try without afterburner running. It mega tortures the CPU in map load so worth checking temps if you get random game closures you may need to dial down voltage/clock.

Try that, make sure you have all the windows updates and if it really won’t work DDU your graphics drivers and clean install. ‘Repairing’ the game from origin, not using DX12 if you are. Etc.

419.67 creator driver version. Its my driver actually. I left game running for 5 hours and no crashed. It happened in morning when i first run game and click SKIP CUTSCENE.

Should i dial up voltage or keep current? I dont had any other issues,despite it happened once when i clicked SKIP CUTSCENE.

So the game has crashed just once and is running fine all this time. This is PC gaming, you will get some kind of crash every now and the. I would not be worried about it unless it keeps recurring regularly.

i reproduce this error by leaving game on idle few hours and run again the same scenario and it crashed in exact the same place when i click skip scene.

It crashed in exact the same place , when i click SKIP CUTSCENE just before mission loaded. WITHOUT CLICKING SKIP CUTSCENE it will not crash. So?

Again when i run game second time, it will never crash .

That display driver error scares me

Mine started throwing that code in bfv and tomb raider when the card was on its last legs and had to rma

But before you rma I’d suggest ruling out other possibilities. Try different drivers and check other games, if it’s isolated to just bfv then your card is fine

I was most recently getting crashes in hitman 2, but I found out it’s very common and just a game bug that causes it to crash on cutscenes - so it’s inporant to find the exact cause of the crashes, this can also help relive any worries you have

So if its the cpu why on updated drivers ( not creator one ) i dont have issue now?

( on updated drivers issue gone )
