Wondering about backing up bfbc2, i have the game on dvd, but theres a few sizeable upgrades, (latest 2gb patch incl vietnam). Im gonna reformat my rig and reinstall win7 64 as ive been running my current install for almost 16 months. Bfbc2 is currently installed on my c drive, (samsung f1 320gb), i have a second drive in my rig, wd 250gb caviar which im gonna dispose off as i have a 1TB f3 to stick in my rig.

You may want to consider getting EA Download Manager and linking your game key to that, you won't need the dvd any more and it handles any patches.

If it's anything like Steam you can just copy folders across and let Steam verify and fix anything that got broken in the move.

I don't bother anymore though as it's easier to just download the files when needed.

Copy the BFBC2 folder to the other drive before you format the main one, install it from the DVD again and then copy the old folder over the newly installed one and overwrite anything. The game will work without installing it again but you won't be able to update it if another patch gets released.
