just started playing and am enjoying the game but it only works with keyboard and mouse. is there a way to get it working with my xbox control pad? thanks.

it's for the single player game not online. i can lay out on the sofa with a control pad:D

If you wanna play BC2 with a pad, best bet is PS3 or Xbox360 where everyone else is using pads. If you've just started playing it, you'll get your arse handed to you anyway, more so with a pad as it's nowhere near as quick and swift as a KB+M

He said hes playing single player with a pad, not the multiplayer.

Not sure if you can use the pad on it personally

Laying on the sofa and using a control pad dont really go hand in hand with pc gaming, i think you need to think about a console. Playing BC2 on a gamepad would just be awful i dont think you can do it other then for vehicles like the heli

Surely as long as the game allows it to happen it should be absolutely fine (multiplayer aside), as the console versions certainly don't ship with a keyboard and mouse :p

Download a piece of software called xpadder.Connect your xbox360 controller and create a profile for bc2 and save it.Leave the profile open when you start up the game and you should be good to go.If you dont know how to create a profile you can download one, try googling bc2 xpadder profile download. You will also need to run xpadder in compatibility mode as it doesn't run with windows 7.

Like mentioned above you will get your ass handed to you, i have been a console gamer all my life and was really hard to swap to pc gaming with mouse and keyboard and used xpadder for a while but kept on getting pwned.I persisted with mouse and key and eventually got the hang of it( but i still get pwned :) ).

jeez guys not everyone wants to be hunched over as keyboard lol

you can get a wireless 360 pad and reciever so you can play comfy on ya sofa

as far as support goes for a 360 controller with bfbc2 i think only 1 stick works

so you will have to use xpadder or something like that

thanks for this info. i don't mind getting owned in single player mode too much.

I know your on about single player but if you go mulitplayer dont use the controller, I can not remember the name of the game but was released on the 360 and pc at the same time for them to play against each other and all the 360 guys moaned about being owend.
