Battlefield: Heroes [Video + Preview]

If it's fun, I can't care less about how it looks and plays ... it's free for godsake. :D

Though I do hope it has low hardware requirements and allows LAN games. Would be fun to hook up the multitude of IGP crippled laptops laying around the house.

Yeah the idea of the game is that it can be played on laptop machines, and have potentially a huge audience. So the hardware requirements are going to be pretty low, but it obviously won’t look like the video. :)
 
Looks distinctly average and i think the cartoon style doesn't work. I also find it funny how people here attempt to justify a 'crappy' game being OK because it's free.

I'm not saying it will be crappy, let's hope it's not, but you get my point.

Roll on BF3.

I don't see anybody talking about any other game here so you must be talking about BF: Heroes when you say it's a "crappy" game that's free. Nobody is defending it just because it's free either, but also because it looks fun and companies should be supported when they finally try something different.

If anyone, the people you should be criticising are the petty kids trying to find any excuse to slate it just because it looks remotely like TF2 and because it's made by EA. It's cool to hate EA these days, they don't want to be "out of the loop".

If, when it comes out, it turns out to be rubbish then I'll say so. Especially as I have lost £0.00 playing it.

Sorry, I meant that he said "if it's fun" so free is obviously not his only concern.

I would've edited it after spotting it but my ADSL is being really gash tonight.



But yeah... We're defending it if it's fun and free, not just if it's free. If it's gash then there will be no loss to us, we just won't play it, but some people just seem to want to criticise it anyway probably because it's made by EA and uses a visual effect that was not invented by TF2.

Not only that but not enough companies take a chance on making something different these days, especially companies like EA. We should be supporting this kind of advance, not ripping into it for no reason.

It has nothing to do with the graphics. It's the humour of the game, which is exactly like what TF2 does.

And did you actually read my post? I said I like it. How the heck is that "slating" it?

sorry.. the slating part was more general for the entire thread, not aimed at a particular poster. 'twas seperate from the quotes&comments :cool:
