Battlefield Updates

Hi, I just got my copy of the game today. Liking it so far. What is the latest version of the game, is it 1.4? Will I just download that, and will that update my copy of the game from retail?

Also are there any good popular mods?

1.41 is the latest patch, get from this FTP, its pretty fast (maxes my 10mbit connection out) - ftp://ftp.multiplay.co.uk/pub/games/fps/battlefield2/patches/win32/bf2_patch_1.41.exe

Never tried any mods apart from the addon packs - Armored Fury, Euro Forces and Special Forces (my favorite) (RPG's - YAY! )

My favourite mod is by far the Project Reality v0.4 mod. The weapons are much better, they sound real and are much more accurate. It's easier to kill enemie's. Barely any annoying artillery, UAV, which makes the games more fun because you don't know where the enemie are.
More vehicles and tons of maps.

POE or point of existence. Thats a great general extension to the game. Theres a friendly game of poe coming up on 50klicks.com too
