Long time BF1 player, games runs great with no issues.

I have noticed though that the games are often spoiled now by cheaters, someone the other day was invisible, but their gun was invisible. They got 178/0 on kills and then quit. Ruined it somewhat.

This seems to be becoming more common and the amount of games is getting less and less.

So I thought I would give BF5 a go, bought it a while ago but never really played it much.

Gave it ago today, seems to run fine on the FPS (around 75ish) during play.

What I have noticed it that the game appears to stutter on occasions, almost like its lagging.

Is this a game issue, or could it be that my specs are not enough to run it well?

I have left the game to decide on best video options, but am running it at 1440p @ 144

I have a 2600 with a 1070

Thanks in advance for any help.

Excellent, turned off DX12 and capped frame rate to 144 - runs great now; getting high 70 FPS during play and no stuttering.

Thanks v much all :)

As a further update, did a fresh install of Windows and only installed what I need in terms of software and add ons. Now running at high 80s and into the 90s. Happy days!

Something I've only recently found with BFV, if I want to run DX12 I need to disable Shader Cache in the nVidia control panel. The annoying thing is, if I set up a program specific profile then BFV will enable it the next time I load the game, apparently nVidia are aware of the behavior.

I Have recently made the switch to DX12 as my GPU was bottlenecking don't get any stutters

how are you finding the game I know the server chats can be a little toxic at times but there are some good groups of players online

but without the clan servers its hard to create a community like we had with KNG

say hello if you see any of us about [LEGO] clan
