Battlestar Galactica

What is the right forum? The Music and Box Office is the only other possibility and the title suggests its for films and music only (didn't actually look in there tbh)

And it is on in the UK at the moment, Tuesdays I believe (although I am ahead of the series so I'll keep schtum)

The new BSG is great, im loving the seriousness of this series compared to the old one wich i loved in its time, my only complaint at the start of watching it, would be that they made starbuck and boomer Women... WTF... but i got over it and continue to watch eagerly.

Maybe in theory but they are both such strong characters that I think it adds to the flavour of the plotlines. That said I haven't really watched the original series all that much so can't really judge too much. But the new series works for me anyway!

For anyone basing their opinion of the new BSG on Season 1, well, that was good but personally I think S2 is a lot stronger so far. It is well worth watching, and, in fact, well worth watching S1 just so you are uptodate with S2 :p

It is but i still thinks its a con, the US had the 1/2 box's as well before the full season box came out, and they were $25 each, now the full set is $30.

Its cheaper than here but thats mainly economics. I'd rather buy a full season than have it split in half, its confusing as well because i was walking up to the till at bestbuy with BSG season 2 and family guy season 4, only to then realise that they're not the full sets. No point buying them because over here they'll be released as full seasons, hence i'd have to import the 2nd parts when they came out.

I just think its another music/tv/movie industry con job.

It is a con job but seeing as you obviously know about it you'd be a double fool to still be conned by it :p

Most people know these days that there will be 'Director's Cuts' and 'Ultimate Editions' of films and TV, just depends how much you want that ultimate set and if you're willing to wait/buy it along with your original set. There aren't too many things I can think of that I would be that bothered about buying again just to get 5 extra minutes of pointless scenery and a new documentary of the director picking his nose.
