is this a new serise? I just flicked onto it, but can't recall if I've seen this episode (could be my memory).
so, even tho the show info says "new" is it realy just "old"?

If you're talking about the one that was on at 11pm last night, it was an episode from the second series. AFAIK the third series starts over here at some time in October, a couple of weeks after it starts airing in the US.

I only got the mini-series (pilot) about a fortnight ago. Got the first series almost straight away and thoroughly enjoying it! Not gonna shell out £35 for part two just yet, but I'm very impressed with it so far.

It's definately a great series. Almost finished watching season 2 on dvd. Looking forward to season 3 a lot.

Also heard something about a prequel series taking place years before the current series, called Caprica I think. Sounds interesting.

Might also be worth checking out Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance. Claims to fill in gaps between season 2 and 3 but I haven't seen it yet so no idea what it's like. Probably season 2 spoilers so don't go looking if you haven't seen season 2 yet.

Series 2 is stonkingly good. Didn't think they could do much better after the first series but they pulled it off.

The Resistance has been a bit disappointing so far, though given they had zero budget, it could have been worse. A couple of major characters are in it and it basically looks like it's filling in a bit of what happens between the end of series 2 and the beginning of 3. I think it'll work better when it's all stitched together into a single 40 minute episode rather than the 4 or so minute single segments. The season 3 previews at the end of each are superb!
