Battlestations Demo

Didn't realise the demo was coming today. Just ran downstairs and there's a multiplayer demo for it at 440MB so downloading now.

Midway multiplayer demo and be one of the first to experience a new style of online warfare. I had no idea a demo was being released of this. Can't wait to get home tonight, I've been waiting for this since the first videos of the gameplay hit the marketplace.
 
I just had a quick play.. didnt know what the hell was going on for most of it. Managed to eventually build myself some ships, then went on a rampage and destroyed pretty much all their bases. I imagine it shows your score at the end but i think the host left early.. doh! I was entertained though, didnt know what a lot of it was about.. will play again.

Not exactly.. 3D world.. you can build two units from your team role defined before the game. I was in control of the ship yard so i built two destroyers and went out.. you can switch between destroyers etc and do all sorts on them and also put AI on the other one so it operates on its own..

Maybe the American ships are overpowered, or they didnt know how to use their subs but i pretty much charged my battleships into their base.. destroyed all their stuff and won. I took a bit of damage on the ship i was controlling from a plane, and my other ship was sank.. didnt even realise it had gone.. but i was happy shooting my mahoosive guns at stuff.
 
Ugh, hate multiplayer demos where you don't get the chance to have a go offline first to get to know what you're supposed to be doing :/

<slap> get in there man.. its exciting to not know what your doing and frantically figure it out before the enemy..
 
Cool, from the vids i've seen it looks an interesting game and could be good if done right. Will get it down and have a blast. :)
 
Played this lastnight, and found it very enjoyable, after several aborted attempts on laggy hosts. Sadly I can't fly for **** and got pwned in dog fighting, I did a couple of successful Torpedo Runs which are extremely satisfying.

The question is though.. PC or XBOX360?
 
I must admit this game has supprised me i was expecting a pile of turd to be honest :)

However the multiplayer is really really fun having control of a huge aircraft carrier in a massive 8 player sea battle rocks

I cant speak for the single player but i am thinking of getting this game for the multiplayer alone
 
Played for about 2 hours as jap/air and was getting shot down by the enemy air quite easily. I seemed to spend most of the time returning home after dropping bombs, need to find some teammates with strategy
