A nice action/RTS game similar to the old Carrier Command, whose only real minus was its relatively short SP campaign. But for 2 quid it is amazing value for money:

Oh, and when you are done you can trade it in for a pound against future purchases, making this effectively a one quid purchase :)

LOL - for a laugh I just tried to trade in my Tomb Legends Anniversary (which I just paid a pound for yesterday) and it is offering me 7 quid off....
:D

Just had a quick look at this and it seems like it can be a fun game, but is there much in the way of multiplayer action when the sequel battlestations pacific is out? wouldn't the vast majority who play these games be playing the latest one and so the older ones will lack servers? or is this not the case?

Unfortunately, this is likely to be the case. I would only advise people to get it for the good (but fairly short) single player content.

Note that there is a good chance there will be a deal on Battlestation Pacific in the Steam Xmas Sale.

Just bought, but should have read about their delivery method first. Dunno why but made the assumption it was a steam key, but it wants me to download some capsule thingy.

Can I remove it after downlodaing game? Just don't want to clog up my pc with hundreds of little apps.

I found Pacific to be a complete pain. Kamikazee's were way too overpowered and ruined the multiplayer imo. Multiplayer on Midway was great :)
