I loved this game. It was a blend of FPS action (in a hovering space tank) and and seat-of-your-pants RTS. Anyone aware of any other FPS-RTS hybrid games like this?

I remember getting the Demo of this on a PCZone Mag..... i enjoyed killing the harmless little space generic creatures.

I have Battlezone 2 on CD somewhere, I found it quite good. I'm sure if I reinstall it though I'll be disappointed. :p

I still play Battlezone 2 every now and then. You won't be disappointed at all if you fire it up now - it still looks amazing, easily the match of some of what's being released today.

Battlezone 1 is looking a bit rough around the edges, but had the better storyline.

I felt that BZII didn't really add much to the game play, but the graphics were nice and flashy. It's a shame these games didn't sell so well. I'd have liked to see more sequels and similar types of games.

anyone ever play a demo (think it was Zone or Gamer I got it from) which felt like an X-COM, in that it was turn based.. but it was sort if inside some weird structure, with loads of odd lookin aliens, and hammered my video card at the time.

BZ1 was the nuts. Sniping people out of vehicles used to absolutely do my housemates heads in when playing. :D

I had a demo of BZ2 but never really got the full game, but it didn't seem like anything new, bar the graphics.
