Hi all,

I live in a rented property, and my Baxi Combi 105 HE has not been functioning correctly. I've had the landlord send someone round to look/fix it, but after two visits they've replaced bits and still don't know what is wrong with it.

What happens is that when either the central heating or hot water is on, the thing suddenly stops heating, and a flashing light appears. After flashing for a bit, it attempts to start heating again before giving up with a flashing red light. Looking at the boiler documentation, the flashing light (80C light) is indicating a Central Heating sensor fault. I'm a bit dubious about the meaning of this flashing light as this central heating sensor light flashes even when I only have the hot water on. The issue is quite intermittent, some days it is fine, other days it isn't.

Can anyone offer me any advice on diagnosing the problem so that I can pass this information on to the engineer so that it gets fixed?
