bayonet light socket to mains socket

Are you trying to plug a lgiht into the mains, or turn a lgiht socket into a mains soket?

The latter may not be a good idea :o

If you're trying to plug a mains device into a light fitting I suggest you take out some good home and life insurance first.

I've said this before, and i'll say it again.

"When you die, can i have your post count?"

You'll be hard pushed to find a beyonet to cable adapter anyway.

A 3 pin socket to light fitting it easy. Wine bottle lamp kit. :)

The other way round is harder and involves making the light socket side from a broken bulb. Don't go over 100w ;)

Can we put up some seats outside your house with beer and popcorn for the audience and have what happens up on big monitors in your front garden.....

And we can all have a big countdown, and mexican waves, and cheer at the results?

For some reason I thought you wanted to put a bayonet into the mains o.O

You're doing it wrong!

Unless your house has been wired up by a bunch of cowboys then nothing you have said would be dangerous or cause a fire!

The 6A lighting fuse/mcb ..etc would simply trip when the socket draws more current than the 1.5mm cable can carry safely!

But unless your qualified or competent with electrics you really shouldn't dabble with it!
