hi I had a prewatercooled case deliverd yesterday , excellent packaging etc. ran the system for a few hours using paperclip trick and external psu. no leaks excellent really chuffed. my system is now in and has been running for a few hours without issue and temperatures' seem to be excellent under stresstesting . my only worry/issue is the noise coming from the res which I assume is the pump. youll have to excuse me as this is my first custom loop so im just reading as much as possible and may have not done something I was supposed to

ive tilted the system a fair bit and cycled it to make sure ive got no air in the system but am unsure if this is having an effect without anywere for the air to escape out of the res.. and the res seems to be brimmed , will the noise disappear over time or is there something I need to do to quieten the system down?

The main drawback of bay/res combinations is that they often produce noise/vibrations,its pretty normal.

Its not super loud , and my servers PSU is the loudest thing in the room , but sitting next to it I can here the pump working away , it's the loudest thing in the system. Noise isn't really an issue providing it's working as intended . Being my first loop I'm not really sure what sound are good and what are bad .

Bayres4 combo is a budget solution,it isnt meant to be particularly quiet in all honesty. Its rated at 42DB on the spec page. Its not a quiet pump.

No need to be concerned unless you start getting high temperatures, sounds like its working properly

yeah my system is super quiet so is no doubt why im really picking up onit but sitting next to it is annoying lol .

Would it be worth trying to undervolt it ?

Probily not,it may not even start at reduced voltage.

Even if it does running it out of spec like that could damage it,or produce awful flowrates.

XSPC bayres is known for being a bit noisy. If you're unsure you could post a video/audio recording to compare the sound.
