BB help please!

hey there!

My sister is looking to finally join us in the digital age and get BB. Thing is, they may be moving house in the next 6 months or so.

Are there any BB providers that so a short term or month by month contract?? Or am I right in thinking that most ISPs want a 12 month contract?

any advice appreciated

you can certainly get one month contracts. the only downside is that you have to pay activation (between 40-50sheets). look at idnet or newnet perhaps.....

Does she really need broadband, she could just use dial-up?

If she lives in a good signal area, mobile broadband might be an option. It's easy to set up with a USB modem. You can get a contract that you can cancel with 30 days notice and it's not that expensive. If it's available where she's moving then she can just take it with her.

Dial up?? LOL........when was the last time anyone here used dial up to view todays media heavy websites?? LOL
