Basically, after the thread on BB King, I've whacked some of his stuff on, and surprise surprise, was blown away, as I am every time :D

So I want to buy some DVDs. I'm looking at "B.B. King - In Concert", but don't know in terms of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Also, any other artists in a similar style of music on DVD?

Cheers

DVDs.... Ok, BB King -

There is a Jazz Channel Presents... BB King DVD - superb concert (from 2000ish) and recording, DTS soundtrack - awesome stuff.
Also, Live At Nicks is ok - it's a little older, from the 80's I think.
You may have to look on international sites, I can't remember if they're all available region#2.

SRV -

Live From Austin, Texas - one of my favourites, and features two appearances from '83 and '89 (dates from memory).

Live At El Mocambo - another cracking gig from '83. Worth buying for Texas Flood alone.

Also, try to get the SRV [BOX SET] 3CD+1DVD pack. The DVD contains more footage from the '89 Austin show mentioned above.

General -

Try the SRV Tribute Concert DVD, Eric Clapton Crossroads Festival (Dallas) DVD.. both feature BB (too briefly) but many others including Buddy Guy and Robert Cray. Roberts performance on the Crossroads DVD is staggering.

August 26th - the last show SRV played :(

Stevie, and members of Eric's entourage, were tragically killed not long after this show on August 27th 1990.

August 27th - SRV day

Another vote for SRV Live at the El Mocambo.

It's one, if not the, best music DVDs i've seen. From anyone.
