Does a Blackberry Torch 9800 have a touch screen or not?
I have been given one that was first dropped in water, then, when an idiot tried to open it up and ended up murdering the keyboard.
Now, I loves me my toys, and I have a place in my heart for blackberries, so, I have set about repairing it.
The screen seems to be ok, the funky little slidy scroller thingy works, as do the buttons of the front panel, so I just bought a base and keyboard, and sod it, while Im here, a funky holder charger, and I have replaced it all, and its now working great.
I have shown the clever trevors next door the phone, and they said that the scren does not work anymore??? They are absolutely adamant, that the screen was a touch screen? Now, I have had a bit of a look around the interwebz and I cannot find anything about the phone being a touch or not.
Now, I have a Bold and a curve and a Z10 and I can say that the O/S on this, looks very much like the older Corve / Bold and nothign like the Z10 and so while that does not mean much, it does suggest to me, that it is NOT a touch screen. The way it works is identical to the curve/bold too and again, its fully functional that way too!
Im sure they are either mistaken, or winding me up, but they are not the sort of people that would do that.
Its just bugging the hack out of me.
Anyone know?
