BBC 3 to go?

Hope they keep Bluestone 42 but apart from that it's no loss in my eyes. BBC 4 is a channel I don't think I've ever watched.

To replace BBC 3 all you have to do is buy 6 episodes of family guy and 6 episodes of american dad and repeat every 3 days.

It's shocking how often the same episode can be on in a week. I like both programs but the lack of variety in episodes sends me to sleep nicely.

Him and Her was great, other than that I've seen little on there I would regularly watch. It should have been axed to save F1.

BBC4 has value, but the decent content on both 3 & 4 could easily be squeezed into 1 & 2.

Less is more.

Sums it up perfectly. There are programmes on BBC4 worth watching, but they could easily get rid of some of awful tosh on Beeb 1 or 2 to fit it in.

As for BBC3... eurgh. Nothing of value lost there, I'm afraid.

Personally, I don't think the BBC should be competing for ratings churning out the kind of crap that ITV and C4 are renown for. Forget the damnable reality TV. Forget the quiz shows, singing/dancing contests, all the celeb-focused crap, and for massive bonus points axe Eastenders too :p

I think that would earn the BBC some respect, if they didn't use the license fee to make dreadful shows for your average muppet. ITV already have that market sown up anyhow ;)

Here here, couldn't have said it better myself

I don't understand. Why move BBC 3 to online, considering the channel only went HD not too long ago. Yet make space for BBC One+1?!?!!? Why do we need another +1 channel when there is catchup TV such as its own iPlayer and many have PVR's now to record and watch later?!?!!?

Rarely watch it but as someone else has mentioned Family Guy on when going to bed is pretty much a nightly thing for us, infact my wife has issues sleeping a lot and it's one of those things that helps her to nod off.

Online won't quite be the same, coupled with the fact that with our appalling connection speeds at home means we may just lose it altogether.
