Question of Sport stops production, BBC confirms

There had been just two series with current host Paddy McGuiness and captains Sam Quek and Ugo Monye.

Don’t know anyone who watched the revamped version with Paddy McGuinness as host.

The chemistry between Sue Barker and her captains - Ally McCoist, John Parrott, Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson was great.

Remember revamping never usually works.

I stopped watching when Sue Barker started hosting, I didn’t mind her, I couldn‘t warm to Parrott or Tufnell, McCoist only slightly better

The one USP that the show had was that everyone on it was a sports star. Then they replaced the presenter with a non sports star and started replacing the contestants with non sports stars.

How surprising that the viewing figures divebombed.

Hasnt been the same imo since the Hughes/Beaumont years, was at its peak with them and has gone downhill ever since.

Just the BBC tactic to deliberately make a show unwatchable so they can cancel it a couple of years later when no one will care. They've been trying this with Doctor Who for a while. Though somehow Mrs Browns Boys has got stuck in some kind of feedback loop.

And then some for me, the programs about my age. Back when we only had 3 channels and 1 tv in the house, I dreaded that theme tune starting up.
