Hear, their, everyware ;)
I do hope the Thread title gets censored as that would be really funny! ;)

Anyway, it looks like Professional Game-Show Panelist and Lesbian Impersonator Phill Jupitus is out of a job...

Who's taking bets on it re-appearing on Netflix in the very near future? ;)

Had it's heyday when Lamarr/Amstel were hosting, thought Rhod Gilbert might have saved it but Jupitus and Fielding should have gone when Gilbert took over.

I guess there'll be yet another BBC Cookery Show to replace it....

Real shame. The last few series haven't been as consistently funny as before, but Rhod Gilbert did a pretty good job of the final one at least.

I hope this doesn't mean the criminally unfunny Jupitus will be on QI more often. I don't watch Buzzcocks but will sign a petition to keep it going to keep Jupitus off programs I like.

Apart from the odd themed episode which was worth it for the host alone, I've not been that interested post-Amstel.

Mind you, I don't think it could've continued much longer with Amstel either. There would've been no-one left who would have agreed to go on after a couple of years.

It has got steadily less and less entertaining, I'm actually glad they've pulled the plug, it was tedious and a chore to watch lately, rarely funny at all.

Rhod Gilbert played it far too safe and clean cut. The funniest thing post-Amstell were the various intros they did for guest hosts e.g. James Blunt.

Lamar clearly best host, Amstell had some mega moments though. And I will always treasure him for calling Noel Fielding out on his ****** brand of (non) comedy.

Jupitus was apparently set to quit after the first season with Amstel.
Whereas with Lamar the "taking the ****" out of the guests just seemd to come naturally, something would happen during the show etc, Amstel was booking guests specifically so he could take the ****. It was forced and something Jupitus didn't like.
Shame really - no good music quiz's around now.

I thought it started going downhill once Amstel left and they did a different host each week. The odd one was ok, but it was mostly just unfunny reading of lame jokes from the autocue with no adlibbed banter.

Sad news - my favourite episode was the one hosted by Ne-Yo:
Perfect example of an awful host :p.
