BBC.co.uk going downhill

What are people using now that the Times is a pay site? I too use the BBC and am sometimes disappointed. Is the Telegraph the best out there?

Haven't noticed anything, but then again I rarely ever notice spelling mistakes, unless they are super obvious.

The site usually works fine for me (although it isn't loading now).

Seems its loading a simplyied version for me. Hotmail seems not to be working right now for me either.

I have noticed the bbc website not being able to store your location more often recently

I make daily use of the BBC website as I'm sure most people here also do. In the last four months I've lost count of the number of 404 errors and dead links to articles. Has anyone else noticed the quality of the website deteriorating or is it just me?

No i wouldn't care if the BBC and anything related to it shut down ;)

Eugh, they've gone and changed the Iplayer page too. Very different, and more confusing to use. Was nice and simple before. Looks like they are assuming people can't read and need pictures to navigate instead. :(

Its my most visited news and sport site, can't remember ever getting a 404. Maybe I'm just lucky.

As for spelling, there is the odd mistake but no worse than any other site or printed media I use. Mind you, with some of the awful spelling on this forum I wonder how many forum users would actually recognise a spelling mistake anyway.
