I thought this was quite interesting, considering a lot of people only associate games with the younger crowd mainly and also up to people in their 30-40's but never really older than that.

So it's quite interesting knowing there are people in their 70/80's that are still enjoying games and it is keeping them mentally active.

I saw this too and thought it was a very good of example of how gaming can help peoples cognitave and physical process and how games are relevant to all age ranges.

Sadly it won't make much of splash in the media as it does not buy into the "omgz gaming is causing the end of society' cliche' that many newspapers profess.

I was trying to work out what the first game was she was playing looked like Sleeping Dogs.

Yeah my Grandad and Nan who are in their 70's both have Nintendo DS's and play puzzle, brain training and mystery games and also use it to relax and to keep them mentally active.

Yeah it's good that they picked up on this but i doubt it will get that big as the media always try and put a downer on games. They normally only do the news when they blame a game for turning someone into serial killer or blaming it on giving kids the wrong ideas.

It looks like either GTA, Sleeping Dogs.

Her driving was a bit all over the place but good on her for giving it a go.

Like real life really, shame those poor A.I. citizens aren't programmed to deal with old people driving, look what she's doing to them because they don't know to move out of the way... :(

:D

With the amount of stuff the media say about video games being violent and causing kids to go mental. Surely the best idea wasn't to show a video of a sweet old dear running over some bloke with her car and putting it on TV. :)

I hope im like that when im old. Not a woman... Just playing games.

It's nice to see that there are others out there that love gaming at older ages though.

I've got a guy that comes on our mumble from time to time and plays MMO's and FPS's with us and actually has a better PC than me and he is 63.

I know a lot of older peeps who used to play mir with me.

Thwy spent all there free time on it and simply played to have a laugh.

One person had her entire family playing along side her... was allways fun listening to the arguments and joining in with banter lol.

I do miss those days... but Unfortunatly games like legend of mir 2 and 3 have died out.
