BBC Gameshow - The Traitors

Great show, I was hooked, really enjoyed it, it's good watching on Iplayer so I can fast forward the tasks but everything else was brilliant, looking forward to series 2 one day.

Also, Claudia's POV

Lol that's brilliant!

I can’t believe Paul is still there. Anthony had him bang on for exactly the right reason but didn’t push it.

The conversation between Paul and Jaz surely must have proved it for Jaz. Basically Jaz says to Harry “If I go, it’s Paul but don’t tell anyone”.
Harry tells Paul. Paul discusses the conversation with Jaz. So Jaz surely knows now that both Paul and Harry are traitors.

he was looking at him going - got you.. you are a trailor

We wait until the weekend then watch 3 episodes back to back.

Just wished that the put some of the aggressive ambitious types in.. play it with bankers, fund managers, legal prosecutors/defenders and estate agents..

What, Charlotte in the bath? ;)

There seems to be a general trending question - boob job or not.. along with andrew, a trending observation they seem to be wanting to spice it up.. personally, I think the need to find people that are more entertaining/engaging.

It'll be interesting to see if Jaz gets a chance to bring up the events that led up to Paul being told what he said.

The programme shows how easily led people are. How they make sweeping judgements for and against people without knowing them.

I don't understand why the traitors weren't trying to divert away from the narrative that it was a gifted drink which sealed the murder, Diane even set Miles up at breakfast, by saying "somebody kissed me last night, and I thought that was strange" - why did they not attack this angle at all!

I feel it was Miles who was given the poisoned chalice from the onset of that murder task, very difficult to play.

Because they were told they'd been poisoned. Poison is usually given by food or drink, more commonly dropped into a drink.

If they'd been able to find the books a bit quicker, they might have been able to play it better but it took them so long to find the goblet that he had no real choice. He did say that he'd do it because he's always giving out drinks and if they'd got it a bit earlier in the evening, it would have been much easier for him.

Of course, they didn't know it was slow acting, that was a fantastic twist.

Great episode, but I can't help feel that the producers pivoted to the murder in plain site because the faithful were doing so badly and they needed to keep up the tension.

It really left the traitors exposed during the act, and obviously Miles was toast when Diane didn't get murdered that night.

I imagine they have it plotted out quite well beforehand.

So for example if the faithful were to do too well in the early days (e.g they managed to kill 2/3 traitors in the first few round tables) they have a pivot to protect them better and keep the game going.

I know they have the 'recruit' mechanic to always try and keep traitors in play but that's the sense I got.

I'm aware of this, but wouldn't you want to be planting as many seeds of doubt and throwing at as many theories as possible to confuse thoughts? You'd need to get a non traitor on board with the idea, to not completely alienate yourself as the only conspiracy theorist.

Last series, in a similar secret mission, fate was sealed by a poisoned kiss, so they could have played on and hammed it up more.

It was a "kiss of death" and all they were told the next morning was that his fate was sealed at the party the night before so (at the time), there was no indication whatsoever as to how it happened. I've just gone back and watched that bit :)

So I would imagine that when the current lot were told at breakfast that one of them had been poisoned the night before, they all thought back to last year and that's when Diane came up with the comment about being kissed.

I really enjoy this game show. There are so many theories and reasons they give and yet nothing really can be based on facts. Except when something happens like yesterday where there's actually a way to work out who one of the traitors is.

Harry's playing a blinder and I think he's got a really good chance of going all the way. I did feel sorry for Jaz at the end though "I always get it wrong man, every single time".

Every time I see Ross, I think I'm watching @Lopéz

Sophie on the after show on BBC2 was a nice bonus as well.

Ha, topical - one of my ex employees messaged me the other day and said "You probably don't get this programme as you're not in the UK any more but there's this game show called Traitors and there is a bloke on it who looks JUST LIKE YOU" :D

Loved Harry from the start, seemed to be someone who had no idea what he was doing but loved every minute of it. Now he's a turned in to a proper badass and looks like he's played everyone, including me :D
