Of course people hold the BBC to a higher standard, because its the BBC. Meanwhile those same people consume GB news, daily mail and Elons tweets and think nothing if it.

When you're funded by the public through threat of violence (prison sentences) for non payment, an expectation to tell the truth at all times with no bias is hardly much to ask for.

Non sequitur as the method of funding doesn't logically determine whether higher editorial standards should apply.

I disagree. You can hold other news outlets to count by ignoring or not purchasing from them. We largely dont have that choice with the bbc.

A "bit" of a gaff from the BBC and it seems silly that the producers/editors signed off on it. Although i'm surprised it's taken this long for a conservative outlet to pipe up about it given the episode was aired last year
