Hi all

I have just upgraded my graphics card and now when I use BBC iplayer it shows it is using 'codec:h264 (AAC)'.

Is this down to the new graphics card or has iplayer changed?

I would appreciate your comments.

If you play an iplayer video and then right click your mouse button you can see the flash codec in use.

Can someone do this and let me know please.

Thanks

Thanks Ben643.

So does the codec used depend on your graphics card or just on whether you are using normal quality or high quality play back?

I am asking because the flash video quality using my new card (ATI HD 4650) is much better than my old card (ATI HD 2400 pro) and I would like to know if this is down to the new card or a recent change in BBC iplayer.

I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks for the info Cobertizo.

So is it just coincidence that I noticed the higher quality and nothing to do with the new graphics card?
