BBC iPlayer on Kindle Fire

Been trying to find info on this without much luck.

I've downloaded iPlayer and BBC media player to my Kindle Fire, but I'm not seeing an option to download on any of the shows.
I just want to be able to watch a few programs on the commute to/from work.

I'm sure I've read it's possible, can you download Prime shows yet as you can on vanilla android now?
