Does anybody else using this have the same problem I'm having?

The thing won't stop downloading, I've paused the download and shut the program down but its still downloading.

I use it, and have had no problems you describe. just cancel the download, or i think it automatically pauses if you close the program down. not sure though.

I've exited from the little icon in the tool bar but can still hear the hardrive being written to and know if I start it again the amount downloaded will have gone up.

Its annoying becuase I'd rather download stuff overnight.

I guess I could but I have a habit of downloading stuff and not watching it for weeks later whereas streaming only last for a week.

You can get fullscreen. bottom right button on video. The quality is actually very good.

I couldn't get full screen to work when streaming, it just made it freeze.

and the quality is certainly better when downloaded. although the quality is good anyway like you say.

Are these files DRM? I would imagine that copying and renaming to other Drives may be a way round this? I dont think this is against copyright is it! Technically as long as you pay your TV license and are not sharing this with anyone else?

Or am I being very naieve here?

I think they're a proprietary format so you'd need the iPlayer installed on any other pooter you want to watch it on, and copying would no doubt retain the DRM info which the iPlayer would then read.

it's only windows media drm and it can be easily removed. but why anybody would want to keep any junk off the iplayer i don't know? :p
