This has only happened in the last week or so. If I'm on the Beeb's home page and I want to use the browser's back button to go back to my own homepage, it simply refreshes the Beeb page. It's like it has 'trapped' the back button preventing the browser from leaving the site. This affects both desktop and mobile browsers. Any workarounds for this? A very small number of other sites do this by design, but for the Beeb to do this too I consider as bad PR.
On a side note - does anyone get annoyed with the constant "breaking" pop-up? The same "breaking" that comes up 3 times during a reading session? Then clicking the X takes you back to the top of the page so that you lose your position on the story that you were reading? No probs - just stick polling.bbc.co.uk into the HOSTs file
