it's ridiculous how poor the press are over here on games.

It's godawful. Showing Killzone and a PS3 as if its Halo.

I just watched a 15 minute segment on CNN on Halo 3, it was professional and informed. They talked about the series, about the sales, about how its microsofts ace in the hole in the console war.

They showed the announcement trailer and the E3 trailer. Talked about the film, the cars, the mountain dew, the burger king promotions, Peter Jacksons affiliation, the premieres all over europe, etc.

They went on to say in the first 8 hours it sold 1.8 million copies. It is on track for $191m in 24 hours dwarfing Spiderman 3's $151m in 3 days.

Much much better journalism when it comes to games.

Yes, the BBC has almost no resources or people on the video games industry. It's quite ironic, because Britain is one of the most successful and acomplished developers in the world with regards to the industry.

Employ me god damnit, i'll do it for free in my spare time and do a job 200m times better.

Pathetic.

Shame about the rest of their news, eh?

True, i can't remember the news was reported accurately when it comes to politics or the war. Propaganda to the hilters. Thats what happens when the media is run by 3 very rich men who are best of friends.

Just get Halo right though and everything is fine.

Yeah I saw that and LMAO when I saw Killzone on the PS3 :D

I find a lot of their news has USA bias.

Halo is big worldwide but the majority of the sales from the last 2 games are predominantly USA based, so it is not surprising they do a long in depth piece on it, as it is their main market.

CNN is generally rubbishy for objective news I find (moreso than comparable news organisations I would say).
