The BBC are running a distributed computing project about climate change here. They're asking people to donate their spare clock cycles to help predict climate change.
Am I the only one that thinks this is a strangely stupid idea? Running your CPU on 100% for days on end will use loads of extra electricity, thus causing even more global warming through burning of fossil fuels.
