Not sure if this has been posted yet, search didn't seem to bring anything up.

Anyway, it's pretty much an identical blackberry messenger type program that works with iphones and smart phones. Unfortunately RIM are blocking it on blackberrys at the moment lol...

Been using it a while, hope they sort this out with RIM and then add groups, groups would make this app epic.

Whatsapp is the best at the moment for cross platform 'bbm' type chat. It's quite popular as well.

Yep id agree....i use it on my iphone4 to keep in touch with my iphag mates:p but i also have it on my BB but havent even bothered to use it on that...i like to keep BBM for BB's and whatsapp for iphones.

Never used Kik myself tbh...didnt see the point when theres whatsapp available.

EDIT: RIM more or less said they broke contractual obligations with kik so its no surprise, if true that was the reason they terminated it and took it off BB appworld.

RIM said:
RIM became aware of a number of issues and customer concerns regarding the Kik app and service. Following discussions with Kik, the app was removed from BlackBerry App World on November 12. Upon further investigation, RIM concluded that Kik had breached contractual obligations. Based on the broad scope and seriousness of the issues and concerns, RIM terminated its agreements with Kik and withdrew RIM’s support for Kik’s service.

WhatsApp is the best too, latest update adds new features and everything. Easy to add people too, very easy.

Cross platform too, I have people on Sony Ericsson, iPhone and Android phones as well as Blackberry on there!

Only suitable if the other end use Gmail as well which isn't always the case :p

You speak to yourself?
