BBQ Grill problem

I've just built a new BBQ, which has an IR side burner. The problem I've got is that the side burner doesnt light properly, instead the flames are all coming out of the bit where it connects up. Everything looks put together properly, but obviously somethings not right!

I'm not sure how these IR burners are meant to work, but it looks like the gas isnt flowing through to it properly. I've contacted Broil King UK but not heard anything back yet.

Probably a long shot but anyone got any ideas what might cause this & how to fix it?

Broil King have confirmed it’s faulty and are sending a replacement burner. Frustrating for it to happen but at least the customer service is good.
