BC2 Server owners thread.

I’ve started this thread because some server posts get losts in the enormous official BC2 thread.

Anyways have any of you guys got PB the stream while your server reports PB as off? EA have put us in a very unfair position… Do we leave PB on and slowly kill our server’s population or do we turn PB off and leave our self’s vulnerable to masses of hacks!

We followed the guide to turn PB off yet still have pb working…. However even tho procon says its taking screenshot and working I really don’t think it is. We had someone online last nite blatantly telling us he’s using a spawn hack, yet no ban. And as of this moment we’ve yet to see the message come up on screen “**** banned for aimbot.

When are EA going to make it compulsory for ALL RANKED servers to running punkbuster, this is so out of line its beyond a joke. Its opened the flood gates for hackers to test all their new hacks

Ah yes, so any1 who streams punkbuster will automatically ban a player if he's been caught else where as soon as they join the server.

Hence some servers saying "***** banned for aimbot"?
 
Lol to the scrim. Apparently tho DICE are writing the code for match servers.

Yeah agree with what you’ve said. How they can just ignore the biggest issue of all.. punkbuster is beyond me!

You about 2nite, any chance you could pop on our vent so myself and CDgreen can have a chat about the whole punkbuster thing? Who are your severs with?

Now the server is empty and i dont think it will fill again, if it does it will be slow!

I just wish EA would sort it out and also sort the auto balancer so it works without using 3rd party software!

You know you can run pb even tho it says off yes?

If PB is turned on i wouldn't hold your breath for populating it anytime soon.

LOAM, its ok i think CDGreen has got it working.

Nope thats not the case.... our server is usually always full because we've got PB off, however i can assure you its a nice little trap for hackers. Our PB is streaming beautifully!!!

Also i've added the new map to =TFU= Just need restart now and the server is full grrrrr.

Please note:

The only way your server will get added to the main page is if their is "OCUK" in the server name.

I think its only fair we do it that way otherwise we are gona be spammed to hell with every tom dick and harry wanting their server posted there.
